Luke is coming along. He caught a rabbit today I flushed out while working and decided to use it as a training opportunity.
Since such catches are about the only things he seems to get aggressive, defensive over, I stepped on his long line, walked up to him, got hold of the rabbit and told him “out.” On the second “out” he let go.

My dog is crate trained and was house broken, however every once in a while she goes in her crate or in the house. I have a question regarding your post Michael. I’ve done a search and haven’t found anything.
You refer to walking territorial mode and migration mode, Migration mode I understand, as the dog is following you. Wouldn’t any walking, with an obedience trained dog in the heel position, be migration mode?
Could someone explain the difference?
